How many marks should a Student need in 12th Board to become a Software Engineer ?
First of all if a student want to be a software engineer or willing to do software engineering he/she will have to go from certain steps or examination.
He/ She has to qualify the intermediate or 12th Board with science or pure science stream ( Physics, Chemistry & Math) with at least or more than 60% of marks i.e if the total marks is 600 then the 60% of 600=(60\100)*600=360.
After qualifying from 12th or intermediate board either it is from any state or national or NIOS (Distance Learning). You should have to apply for JEE Mains( Joint Entrance Examination) and qualify with good marks to get a Government College like NIT (National Institute of Technology) which are present almost all the state of India.
After qualifying and achieving a good marks in JEE Mains you will automatically qualify for JEE ADVANCE where you get a top level Government college of India.
If you qualify neither of the exam or you couldn’t able to achieve a good rank don’t take too much tension because instead of that also many of the Private College are ready to get you in their college.
So, this is the final stage where you have to select the good college for your faculty i.e either it is Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other stream.
Now, this time you will have to be very specific because there are many colleges in India who will tell you that they have the best faculty and they have the great campus or foreign company heir our students and much more.
What You Have to Do?
You just have to go through website of that college in which you want to get admission in that Specific Faculty or Stream. Go visit that college and do demo class or visit their practical room or class and observe that they have the proper instruments or gadget for practical work or not.
If you choose any college then go through each and every corner of that college.
I know it is very difficult but it is better from regretting because after the completion of 4 years of Engineering if you will not get any job due to the lack of Practical knowledge as their is shortage or college could not able to purchase that particular thing which will spoil your future. So it is better to check all thing and get admission.
Prevention is better than cure.
Best of Luck
